  • You will be picked up from your hotel in Galle or the surrounding at 6.30 am. Transfer you to Waulpane.

  • Explore Waulpane limestone cave.  It is famous for beautiful stalactites and Stalagmites believed to be 500 million years old and home to around 500,000 bats.

  • Visit Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home and witness the elephant calves being fed milk.  Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home is a temporary rehabilitation centre for orphaned elephant claves. When they have become strong enough released them back to the wild again. Every 3 hours starting from 9 am to 6 pm baby elephants are fed milk. 
  • After that, you can have your lunch at a place of your choice.
  • Then proceed to Udawalawe national park for an afternoon safari. Udawalawe national park was established in 1972 to provide a sanctuary for wild animals who were displaced due to the construction of the Udawalawe reservoir. Udawalawe national park is famous for herds of Sri Lankan elephants and birds.

  • Safari will finish at around 6.00 pm and transfer you back to Galle. Approximately 2 and a half hours drive.
