The huge diversity of Sri Lanka wildlife provides the best chance for the best use of your camera. The national parks and forest reserves are abundant with leopards, Asian elephants, and sloth bears. The sea few kilometers away from the Misissa coast is often associated with the blue whale, the sperm whale. Not only those Sri Lanka Big Five but also the other mammals, birds, butterflies, and beautiful landscapes have provided a plethora of opportunities to capture the best. 

This 8-day tour programme has carefully planned to discover the Sri Lankan cultural heritage while getting maximum best shots.

  • At the arrival lounge of Colombo Airport, you will be received by your chauffeur guide who will take care of you for the next 8 Days and transfer you to Sinharaja– approximately 3 and half hours’ drive
  • Check in to the hotel and relax for a few hours.
  • Sinharaja the hilly virgin rainforest, the UNESCO World Heritage Site represents a biome that dates back to the Deccan Plate and consists of lowland, mid-elevation, and montane rainforest. Out of a total of 830 indigenous flowering plants on the island, Sinharaja has nearly 500 plants and out of 27 native bird species in the country, 17 species make Sinharaja their home. 
  • Afternoon walking through the bird watching trail where you will be able to capture at least 10 endemic bird species.

  • Full-day trekking in Sinharaja rainforest to take photographs of natural wonders.

  • Early morning around 6.30 am trek will start through hilly virgin rainforest. It will go through striking paths and sparkling water streams with the hearing of the chirping sounds of endemic birds. 
  • This 14 km teak will provide the best opportunity to observe some of the rarest birds and butterflies of Sri Lanka, the complex of ancient caves named “Gallen Yaya” and “ Koskuklana Peak”.
  • Climbing "Singhagala Peak” would somewhat be challenging but at the summit, the view of the surrounding virgin rain forest would be breathtaking. 
  • The pool down the Kekuna Ella Water Fall is a fantastic place to have a bath and relax after a hard trekking exercise.
  • You should prepare for leeches and your guide will assist you in preparations.
  • The entire trek will take 7-9 hours. Picnic meals and drinks will be provided.

  • En-route visit the port city of Galle the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site to capture colonial heritage in Sri Lanka. The Portuguese and the Dutch use Galle as the main seaport on the island. A lot of historical, archaeological, and architectural colonial remains are there in Galle. Of which the Galle Fort is main and the best. It is Asia's largest remaining fortress built by European occupiers. Even today the colonial-era buildings inside the fort, function as villas, antique shops, cafes, and restaurants without changing their old fashion. 
  • After that proceed to Airport for the departure.
